Davido has released his sixth studio album, Oriadé, marking exactly 15 years since he began his professional music career. Released on July 31, the 13-track project arrives as one of the Afrobeats superstar’s most personal bodies of work yet, exploring themes of destiny, legacy, faith, gratitude and identity.
Derived from the Yoruba words Ori meaning destiny and Adé meaning crown, Oriadé translates to “the crowned head”, reflecting the album’s central message of purpose and fulfilment. Ahead of its release, Davido described the project with the words, “The kingdom expands. Chosen long before the throne,” signalling a body of work rooted in both reflection and ambition. At 13 tracks, Oriadé is his shortest studio album to date, following 2025’s 5ive, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard World Albums chart.
The album brings together an impressive cast of collaborators from across Africa and beyond. Ghana’s Black Sherif features on Amazing Grace, while Mayorkun and Fola join Davido on B4 B4. American R&B singer Leon Thomas appears on Tell Everybody, French-Malian superstar Aya Nakamura features on Yaya, and Llona joins him on My Light. Previously released singles I Know Who I Be, featuring South African producers JAZZWRLD and GL Ceejay, and Gimme Dat Ting featuring NO11 also appear on the project alongside solo records including Julie, Constantly, Already Falling, Zanzibar and Guide.
The release continues a remarkable run for Davido, who remains one of Afrobeats’ defining global figures more than a decade into his career. Alongside the album, the singer has announced an international tour expected to build on the success of his 5ive Tour, taking Oriadé to audiences across multiple continents.
